Baby Having Time
From conception to the 4th trimester (which is a year long), pelvic physiotherapy is a helpful addition to easing you and your baby through this truly natural and potentially challenging time. Your body undergoes massive changes to help your baby grow and develop and prepare for labour and delivery. In the 4th trimester, "once postpartum, always postpartum" rings true. You, as a new Mom, have a new body that needs a new approach in order to restore brilliant function again. If you undergo a Caesarian section, you will have had major abdominal surgery + a baby and will need extra intervention to help you have full scar tissue mobility, tissue mobility from skin to uterus and complete recovery. Then how to become strong and fit again may need a different approach depending on your perinatal story. Pelvic physiotherapy can address all these concerns.
- Prenatal - alignment/preparation for delivery (positioning, release, strengthening, breathing patterns etc.)
- Postpartum - recovery of bowel, bladder, and intimate function, breastfeeding support and postural/strength recovery
- Caesarian Section preparation/restoration
- Postpartum Fitness and Joy!
